When the Harvest Feels Delayed

Here’s the straight truth: in both the Kingdom and in business, seed planting is only fruitful if you’re planting the right seeds in the right soil, in the right season, and with the right cultivation. You’ve clearly been working hard, but hard work in the wrong place or without the right alignment will still yield frustration instead of fruit.
1. Spiritually: When the Harvest Feels Delayed
In the Bible, Jesus warns about seed falling:
On the path (wrong soil → stolen by birds)
On rocky ground (no roots → dies in hardship)
Among thorns (competing distractions choke it)
On good soil (yields 30x, 60x, 100x)
(Matthew 13)
If you’ve been sowing for years with little fruit, it’s worth asking:
Soil Check: Am I sowing where God specifically told me, or just where I feel comfortable?
Seed Check: Am I offering what people need, or what I think they should want?
Season Check: Is this the right time, or is this a preparation season?
Stewardship Check: Am I tending the seeds (relationships, follow-ups, discipleship) or just scattering and moving on?
Sometimes, God does call you to plant for years before harvest. But often, He’s also calling you to adjust how and where you’re planting so the Kingdom impact actually happens.
2. Where the Spiritual + Business Lessons Overlap
In the Kingdom → Plant where God told you, not just where you see soil.
In Business → Market where the decision-makers already gather.
In the Kingdom → Don’t despise small beginnings but also don’t ignore closed doors.
In Business → If a marketing channel hasn’t yielded fruit in 12+ months, reallocate resources.

No matter the situation, stay close to God, and he will guide you through every situation. This profound statement emphasizes the importance of maintaining a strong and intimate relationship with our heavenly father.
When we cultivate this closeness, we open ourselves to receiving wisdom and guidance that can illuminate our paths, especially during challenging times. By engaging in regular prayer, reading the scriptures,
meditation, and reflection, we deepen our connection with God, allowing His presence to be a source of comfort and strength.
Ultimately, the promise of divine guidance is a reminder that we are never truly alone. By staying close to God, we can face each situation with confidence, knowing that we are being led toward a greater good, even when the path is fraught with challenges. Embracing this relationship can transform our perspective, allowing us to see trials as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than mere obstacles to overcome.
